Job Title : SAP BASIS Consultant. We are looking for a highly skilled SAP Basis Consultant to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the administration, management, and support of our SAP systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and integration. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of SAP architecture and be able to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently. Key Responsibilities : System Installation & Configuration : - Install and configure SAP systems, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BW, and SAP Fiori. - Manage the installation and configuration of SAP components and services. - Implement and support SAP HANA databases and other required SAP platforms. System Monitoring & Performance Tuning : - Monitor the performance of SAP systems and recommend performance enhancements. - Proactively manage system health, ensuring SAP servers, databases, and other components are fully optimized. - Perform tuning and optimization tasks for SAP applications and database performance. Security & User Management : - Implement and maintain user roles, profiles, and security for SAP systems. - Configure and monitor SAP security settings to protect the systems from unauthorized access and data breaches. - Manage authorizations and ensure compliance with corporate security policies. Backup & Recovery : - Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot backup strategies for SAP systems to ensure data integrity and business continuity. - Implement disaster recovery procedures to ensure minimal downtime. System Upgrades & Patches : - Plan and execute SAP system upgrades and apply patches as required. - Coordinate with SAP vendors for patch management and version control. Troubleshooting & Support : - Provide technical support for SAP environments and resolve incidents or issues that arise. - Troubleshoot SAP system and application issues, collaborating with SAP support and other teams as necessary. Documentation & Reporting : - Maintain comprehensive documentation related to SAP systems, processes, and procedures. - Generate reports for system health, performance metrics, and any identified issues or improvements. Collaboration & Communication : - Work with functional consultants and other IT teams to integrate SAP systems with business applications. - Assist in the planning and execution of system migrations, integrations, and implementations. Required Skills & Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). - Proven experience as an SAP Basis Consultant, with at least 3 years of experience in SAP system administration. - Solid knowledge of SAP systems and databases (e.g, HANA, Oracle, DB2, etc.) - Experience with SAP installation, configuration, and upgrades. - Knowledge of operating systems (Unix, Linux, Windows) and databases. - Expertise in SAP performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting. - Strong understanding of SAP security, authorizations, and roles. - Hands-on experience with system backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures. - Experience with SAP solution manager, transport management, and support packages. - Good communication skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications : - SAP certification (SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP Basis). - Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA migrations and cloud infrastructure. - Knowledge of automation and scripting (e.g, Shell, Python, PowerShell). - Experience in other enterprise systems (non-SAP systems) is a plus.
