SAP FI Manager/Consultant - S/4 HANA Module

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and a proven track record of successfully leading and executing SAP S/4HANA implementation, upgrade, and migration projects. A deep understanding of GST and Indian Taxation is essential. The role requires excellent communication and leadership skills, along with a willingness to travel for project assignments. Responsibilities : 1. Project Leadership and Delivery : - Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation, upgrade, and migration projects with a primary focus on the FI module. - Manage project scope, timelines, and budgets, ensuring successful delivery within defined parameters. - Develop and maintain project plans, risk assessments, and status reports. - Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical developers, other SAP module consultants, and client stakeholders. - Provide guidance and support to project team members, ensuring adherence to project methodologies and quality standards. 2. SAP FI Configuration and Customization : - Perform detailed business requirements gathering and analysis to translate client needs into effective SAP solutions. Configure and customize SAP S/4HANA FI modules, including : - General Ledger (GL) : Chart of Accounts, GL master data, postings, period-end closing - Accounts Payable (AP) : Vendor master data, invoice processing, payment processing, automatic payment program - Accounts Receivable (AR) : Customer master data, order-to-cash process, dunning, collections - Asset Accounting (AA) : Asset master data, acquisitions, disposals, depreciation calculations, reporting - Bank Accounting : Bank master data, bank reconciliation, electronic bank statement processing - Configure and maintain integration points between FI and other SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, PP). - Develop and maintain functional and technical documentation, including configuration guides, process flows, and test scripts. 3. GST and Indian Taxation : - Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of GST laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in India. - Configure SAP S/4HANA to support GST-related transactions, including: -Tax codes, tax procedures, and tax reporting - GST invoice generation and e-invoicing -Input tax credit (ITC) management -GST returns filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.) - Configure and support other Indian taxation requirements, such as Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) and Tax Collected at Source (TCS). - Stay up-to-date with changes in GST and Indian tax laws and implement necessary system updates. 4. Testing and Quality Assurance : - Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including: - Unit testing: Verify the functionality of individual configurations. - Integration testing: Ensure seamless integration between FI and other modules. - User acceptance testing (UAT): Facilitate client testing and sign-off. - Regression testing: Validate system stability after changes or updates. - Identify and resolve defects, working closely with technical teams to implement fixes. - Ensure adherence to quality assurance processes and standards. 5. Client Interaction and Support : - Conduct client workshops to gather business requirements and validate solutions. - Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on SAP FI best practices and solutions. - Develop and deliver training materials and conduct end-user training sessions. - Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting to resolve issues and ensure smooth system operation. - Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders. 6. Team Leadership and Mentoring : - Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior SAP FI consultants. - Mentor and coach team members, fostering their professional development. - Share knowledge and expertise within the team and contribute to knowledge management initiatives. - Promote a collaborative and supportive team environment. Qualifications : - Master's degree in commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. - Master's degree (preferred). - Relevant certifications such as CA, ICWA, CFA, CMA (preferred). - SAP FI certification (preferred) . Experience : - 3 to 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP FI implementation, configuration, and support. - Minimum 3 years of experience with SAP S/4HANA is mandatory. - Proven experience in leading at least 2 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA FI implementations. - Strong experience in configuring and supporting GST and Indian taxation within SAP. Technical Skills : SAP FI : - Expertise in SAP S/4HANA FI configuration and customization. - In-depth knowledge of GL, AP, AR, AA, and Bank Accounting. - Experience with New GL functionality. - Proficiency in configuring and supporting GST and Indian tax requirements. - Experience with intercompany accounting, month-end and year-end closing processes. - Knowledge of financial reporting tools (e.g., SAP Fiori apps, Analysis for Office). Integration : - Strong understanding of integration between FI and other SAP modules (SD, MM, PP, HCM). - Experience with IDoc processing and interface configuration. - Knowledge of SAP integration technologies (e.g., APIs, web services). Other : - Experience with SAP Solution Manager. - Knowledge of data migration tools and techniques (e.g., LSMW, SAP Data Services). - Basic ABAP debugging skills (preferred). - Familiarity with SAP Fiori.
