Job Description : Responsibilities : - Coordinate with users and ISPs to resolve trouble tickets. - Perform in-depth analysis of network infrastructure and implement IP networks. - Prioritize and address trouble tickets from Hotline and NOC within severity guidelines. - Troubleshoot layers 1, 2, and 3 of the OSI model. - Apply security patches as required. - Create technical documentation, network diagrams, and inventory control documentation. - Work trouble tickets assigned by Tier II lead. - Conduct daily performance checks (CPU utilization, system logs, etc.). - Perform immediate troubleshooting for network outages. - Define and implement network security best practices, policies, and procedures. - Deploy and maintain access lists and firewall policies. - Build and support a network log aggregation infrastructure. - Maintain knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies. - Diagnose problems and solve issues under time constraints. - Prepare timely MIS reports. - Update and accept new challenges from management. Desired Technical Skills : - TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, STP, Routing Protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), VPNs - Configuration and troubleshooting of routers, switches, and firewalls. - Experience with firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet) and access control lists (ACLs). - Knowledge of network security principles, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and security best practices. - Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux. - Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds). - Experience with network log aggregation and analysis tools (e.g., ELK stack, Splunk). - Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and network diagrams. - Scripting (Optional) : Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for network automation. - Cloud networking basics (Optional) : AWS, Azure, GCP networking basics. - Experience with Wireless technologies.
