IT Security Engineer - Snowflake Administration

More details as below : Location : INDIA (Remote). Contract : 12 months, extendable. Experience : 10 years. Primary Skills/Requirements : - 10 years of experience in Snowflake security administration, access management, and RBAC implementation. - Strong understanding of Snowflake roles, permissions, and access control mechanisms. - Hands-on experience in managing user access, troubleshooting security issues, and performing audits. - Proficiency in SQL for role and permission management in Snowflake. - Experience with security compliance, governance, and auditing frameworks. - Ability to analyze and resolve security-related bugs related to roles and privileges. - Experience in testing and validating security configurations to ensure seamless deployment. - Strong collaboration skills to conduct handover sessions and stakeholder communication. - Experience in automation of role assignments and improving security workflows in Snowflake. - Knowledge of IT security best practices and data protection standards. Responsibilities : Access Management : - Review and manage Snowflake NONPROD roles to ensure correct access. - Ensure proper role-based access control (RBAC) implementation. - Assign and modify user permissions in Snowflake environments. Security & Compliance : - Monitor and fix security-related issues such as missing roles or incorrect access. - Ensure compliance with company security policies in Snowflake. - Perform regular audits to verify access controls. Issue Resolution & Bug Fixing : - Resolve Snowflake security-related bugs (e.g, missing roles, incorrect privileges). - Support teams in troubleshooting access issues. - Validate fixes for security-related problems. Testing & Validation : - Conduct testing of new security configurations. - Ensure security updates are properly deployed and do not impact system functionality. Collaboration & Handover : - Conduct handover sessions with relevant teams (e.g, DAPS team). - Communicate with stakeholders regarding security concerns and updates. Automation & Enhancement : - Work on automating role assignments in Snowflake. - Improve existing security automation processes.
