Job Description : We are seeking an experienced IBM Sterling Order Management Specialist with strong technical expertise in IBM Sterling OMS (Order Management System), IBM Sterling Fulfillment Solutions, and integrations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in design, configuration, and integration of IBM Sterling solutions, as well as expertise in web services and custom database extensions. The role requires a deep understanding of retail order management processes and a passion for problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities : - Design, configure, and extend IBM Sterling Order Management (Sterling 9.1) solutions to meet business requirements. - Implement and maintain IBM Sterling Fulfillment Solutions, including product extensions, integrations with external systems (synchronous via SOAP web services and asynchronous using JMS Queues). - Work with IBM Sterling Global Inventory Visibility for order and inventory management integration. - Develop custom database extensions, user exits, agents, and build web services to extend the functionality of the IBM Sterling OMS platform. - Provide development support using XML, DOM parser, Java, and Eclipse RCP for UI development (SWT). - Build and optimize stored procedures and SQL functions to meet application requirements. - Perform system integrations using JMS and SOAP web services. - Participate in the performance tuning of IBM Sterling applications. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to the IBM Sterling OMS platform. - Collaborate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver timely, quality solutions. - Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in application development and integrations. - Assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation, including design, code, and troubleshooting procedures. - Willingness to travel to client sites as required. Mandatory Skills : - Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Order Management (Sterling 9.1). - 5 years of experience in IBM Sterling Fulfillment Solutions (design, configuration, product extensions, and integrations with external systems via SOAP and JMS). - 5 years of experience with IBM Sterling Global Inventory Visibility. - Strong experience in custom database extensions, user exits, agents, and web service development. - At least 2 years of development experience in XML and DOM parser. - 5 years of experience in building web applications, including UI development using Eclipse RCP (SWT). - Proficiency in building stored procedures and SQL functions. - Experience with system integrations using JMS and SOAP web services. - Familiarity with issue tracking tools such as Jira. - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. - Solid understanding of application performance tuning. - Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). - Proficiency in Java or C++ for system customizations and integrations. - Strong knowledge of order management processes and point-of-sale operations. - Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects. Preferred Technical Qualifications : - Products : IBM Sterling OMS 9.1, IBM Sterling Fulfillment Solutions, IBM Sterling Global Inventory Visibility. - Programming Languages/Web Technologies : Java, JavaScript, Spring MVC, HTML, CSS, JSP, Java Servlet, XML. - Application/Web Servers : WebLogic 11g, Apache, Tomcat. - Database : Oracle 11g. - IDE : Eclipse. - Version Control : GIT. - Tracking Tool : Jira. - Operating Systems : AIX, Windows. - Domain Knowledge : Strong knowledge of order management systems and store systems. - Experience with IBM Sterling, IBM Sterling OMS, Java/JEE, JMS, HTML/CSS, WebLogic 10, Oracle 11 in retail software. - CI/CD pipeline knowledge. - Experience with IBM Retail Integration Framework (RIF) for system integrations. - Understanding of PCI compliance and security standards for POS systems. - IBM Sterling Certification or other relevant retail technology : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 5 years of experience in IBM Sterling solutions, including OMS, Fulfillment Solutions, and Global Inventory Visibility. - Experience in Java, XML, JMS, and Web Services integration. - Familiarity with retail industry operations and point-of-sale systems. - Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment (ref:hirist.tech)
