The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing and supporting complex hybrid infrastructure environments, with expertise in virtualization, cloud technologies, automation, and DevOps practices. This role requires a hands-on technical leader with excellent problem-solving, communication, and team management : Infrastructure Management and Support : - Lead the administration, configuration, and support of VMware vSphere 7.x or 8.x environments (clusters/farms), Hypervisors, Physical Hardware (Dell, HP), and Cisco infrastructure (including Cisco Intersight). - Provide Level 3 (L3) or L4 server support, resolving complex infrastructure issues and ensuring high availability.Manage AWS Cloud environments and hybrid infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. - Perform infrastructure maintenance activities, including patching, upgrades, migration, and refresh operations. - Work with vendors such as VMware, Cisco, Dell, and HP to resolve technical issues and implement best practices. DevOps Implementation and Automation : - Implement and manage DevOps tools and practices, including Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, Artifactory, Git/BitBucket, and other relevant technologies. - Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioning and management. - Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Ansible, PowerCLI, or PowerShell to streamline infrastructure operations and improve efficiency. - Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate software delivery and deployment processes. - Team and Project Leadership : Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure operations engineers, providing technical guidance and support. - Manage infrastructure projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including development, security, and networking, to ensure alignment and collaboration. - Contribute to the development of infrastructure standards, policies, and Excellence : - Ensure adherence to ITIL framework and participate in Change, Incident (RCA), and Problem Management activities. - Utilize ServiceNow (desirable) for incident management, change management, and other IT service management processes. - Monitor infrastructure performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement proactive measures to prevent issues. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures. Problem Solving and Innovation : - Demonstrate strong attention to detail, focusing on quality and efficiency in all tasks. - Possess highly innovative problem-solving skills with strong analytical and customer service abilities. - Exhibit high reasoning aptitude and the ability to quickly understand complex operating environments. - Provide strong thought leadership and motivation, with the ability to work independently and drive and Skills : - Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent academic qualification. 7-10 years of professional experience in administration, configuration, and support of : - VMware vSphere 7.x or 8.x (clusters/farms) - Mandatory Hypervisors Physical Hardware (Dell, HP)Cisco infrastructure (including Cisco Intersight) - Experience or knowledge of SCCM, SCOM, and SCVMM. - Hands-on experience with DevOps tools : Terraform Cloud Formation Jenkins Artifactory Git/Bit Bucket - Hands-on experience in writing automation scripts : Ansible Power CLI PowerShell - Experience working with different vendors : VMware Cisco Dell HP - Experience with team and project management. - Experience working in an Agile environment with knowledge of Scrum, sprints, etc. - Adequate experience and skill in managing AWS Cloud environments and hybrid environments - Mandatory Familiarity with activities : Patching Upgrades Migration Refresh - Exposure to IT environments governed by the ITIL framework : Change Management Incident Management (RCA - Root Cause Analysis) - Problem Management Prior exposure to ServiceNow (desirable).Strong attention to detail with the ability to focus on quality and efficiency. - Ability to communicate and articulate technical information across various organizational levels. - Highly innovative problem solver with strong analytical and customer service abilities. - High reasoning aptitude and ability to quickly understand complex operating environments. - Strong thought leadership and motivation with the ability to work independently.
