Job Description
Key Responsibilities Prepare and present high-quality pastry items including plated desserts, breads, tarts, cakes, and pastries Support the Head Pastry Chef and Executive Chef with menu development and seasonal specials Maintain consistency, creativity, and high presentation standards in all pastry offerings Ensure cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards Monitor and control stock, ordering, and wastage within the pastry section Supervise and mentor junior pastry staff and trainees when required Work collaboratively with the broader kitchen team to ensure smooth service Requirements Culinary or pastry qualification from a recognised institution Minimum 23 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a 5-star lodge or fine dining environment Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary pastry techniques High attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for presentation Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced kitchen Flexible and willing to work split shifts, weekends, and public holidays Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen-friendly baking is an advantage Package Includes Competitive salary Live-in position with meals provided Uniform provided Opportunity for growth within a prestigious hospitality group
