Information Technology Engineer Company: OCS Group India Pvt Ltd Client: Chemical R&D Centre Location: Koparkhairane, Navi Mumbai Experience: Minimum 4 years in IT Hardware, Software, and Networking Education: Diploma/B.E/B.Tech/BCA/MCA/B.Sc IT/M.Sc IT in Computer Science or Information Technology Work Schedule: Rotational shifts | 6 working days Preferred Candidate: Immediate joiners from Mumbai Core Responsibilities: IT Asset Management: Maintain and tag IT assets, ensuring proper inventory tracking. Hardware & Software Support: Provide hands-on troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers, and IT peripherals. Helpdesk & Ticketing Systems: Experience in managing IT support requests using an ITSM/helpdesk management tool. Active Directory & User Management: Handle user ID creation, modifications, and role-based access in Active Directory (AD). Backup & Data Security: Implement and manage end-user backup solutions to prevent data loss. Patch Management & System Updates: Deploy OS and application updates for security compliance. AV & Conferencing Support: Manage video conferencing systems, projectors, and display devices. L1 Server & Network Support: Provide Level 1 support for Windows/Linux servers, routers, switches, and firewalls. Incident Management & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve system anomalies, hardware failures, and network issues. IT Compliance & Security: Ensure adherence to IT security policies and industry best practices. Infrastructure Deployment: Assist in server installations, LAN/WAN setups, and new site IT rollouts. Vendor Coordination: Liaise with vendors for hardware repairs, software licensing, and procurement. Required Technical Skills: Operating Systems : Windows 10/11, Windows Server (2016/2019), Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS) Networking : Basic understanding of IP addressing, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, and Wi-Fi networks Active Directory: User management, group policies, and domain administration Helpdesk Tools: Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow, ManageEngine, or Jira Security & Compliance: Basic knowledge of endpoint security, patch management, and data protection policies Backup Solutions : Experience with Acronis, Veeam, or Windows Backup solutions Hardware Troubleshooting : Diagnosis and repair of desktops, laptops, printers, and network devices Scripting (Optional but Preferred) : Basic PowerShell or Bash scripting for automation tasks Ideal Candidate Profile : - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage IT incidents efficiently - Proactive mindset with a strong focus on IT security and compliance - Excellent communication skills to coordinate with end-users, IT teams, and vendors (ref:hirist.tech)
