Group & FIT Reservatio ns Specialist As our Group & FIT Reservations Specialist , you willensure that reservations are maximised through the booking, daily follow-up and confirmation of reservations, guaranteeing maximum room revenue for the Hotel. Your responsibilities will include planning the daily work schedule and ensuring all Group & FIT booking enquiries (telephonic & emailed) are dealt with within a 24-hour turnaround time. You will process Group & FIT reservations in Opera, ensuring all specific tasks are accurately processed including rooming lists, handovers, linking correct corporate company/ agency to bookings, ensuring detailed billing instructions are added, cancellations & amendments. You will provide and maintain reports and records of all groups during stay and after departure, follow up on group enquiries, and update all channel bookings with the correct information as per the emails received. Monitoring availability, managing overbooking situations, and assisting with other administrative tasks as directed will form part of this role. You will ensure all special requests and requirements are met and provide exceptional customer service to clients while keeping abreast of activities/offerings within the Hotel and attempting to upsell these to guests. Part of your role will be to resolve any issues or complaints related to reservations and assist in achieving the minimum monthly prescribed targets set by the hotel management in accordance with the Hotels annual budget. ensuring booking revenue is maximised, and no unnecessary revenue is lost. Demonstrating a strong team support ethic that exists in areas of responsibility and role profiles amongst co-workers will form part of your responsibilities. Along with your Matric Certificate , you have a Hotel diploma or degree with experience in a similar position in a similar 4/5 establishment and GDS Operating systems and website intranets . You have a basic understanding of revenue management and how to implement yield management principles . Your basic accounting skills and computer literacy, including MS Office and Opera , will strengthen your application. You can work various shifts when needed. You bring reliability and adaptability to every task, along with a strong commercial drive and exceptional attention to detail. Your ability to handle stress and work effectively under pressure, combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensures success in a fast-paced environment.
