System Administrator - Windows/Linux Server

Job Description : System Administrator Location : Mohali, India Industry : IT Job Summary : We are looking for a skilled System Administrator to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure, ensuring system efficiency, security, and availability. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling servers, networks, and security protocols while providing technical support to users. Key Responsibilities : - Manage and maintain Windows/Linux-based servers and operating systems - Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure uptime - Configure, install, and upgrade software, hardware, and network devices - Implement and maintain security protocols, firewalls, and antivirus solutions - Manage user accounts, access controls, and permissions - Maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data security - Provide technical support and resolve IT-related queries for internal teams - Manage IT asset inventory, documentation, and system configurations - Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT procurement and maintenance - Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and best practices Required Skills & Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. - 2-5 years of experience in system administration - Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems - Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies - Knowledge of cloud computing (AWS, Azure) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) - Understanding of cybersecurity principles and network security tools - Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and documentation abilities Preferred Certifications : - Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) - Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) - CompTIA Security or equivalent (ref:hirist.tech)
