Lead Data Analyst - SQL/Python

Job Description : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead our data initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, data warehousing, and data analytics, with a proven track record of designing and implementing robust data solutions. This role requires hands-on expertise in various database technologies, ETL/ELT pipelines, cloud data warehousing (specifically Snowflake), and data visualization tools. The Senior Data Engineer will also be responsible for managing technical teams, leading cross-departmental projects, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality data products. Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines using ETL/ELT methodologies. - Build and optimize data warehouses using Snowflake for efficient data storage and retrieval. - Develop and manage relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) to support various data needs. - Create and maintain data models, schemas, and data dictionaries to ensure data consistency and quality. - Implement and manage data governance policies and procedures. - Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize data and provide actionable insights. - Utilize Python for data processing, automation, and scripting tasks. - Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, providing technical guidance and support. - Manage cross-departmental projects in an agile environment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals. - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data accuracy and availability. - Evaluate and implement new data technologies and tools to improve data infrastructure and processes. - Optimize data pipelines and queries for performance and : - Experience: 6-10 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or data analytics roles. - Relational and NoSQL Databases : Hands-on expertise with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra). - ETL/ELT Pipelines : Proven experience designing and managing ETL/ELT pipelines using Apache Airflow, Talend, or Informatica. - Snowflake : Deep expertise in Snowflake for cloud-based data warehousing. - Power BI : Strong experience in developing dashboards and reports using Power BI. - Python : Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation. - Analytical and Communication Skills : Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Team Management : Experience managing technical teams and leading cross-departmental projects in an agile environment. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services. - Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices. - Experience with data streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis). - Familiarity with machine learning concepts and applications. - Experience with version control systems (Git).
