Ashtech - System Engineer - Nutanix Hyper-Converged Infrastructure

Job Description : As a System Engineer specializing in Nutanix, you will be a key technical resource for our customers, helping them to maximize the benefits of their hyper-converged infrastructure. You will be involved in the full lifecycle of Nutanix deployments, from initial design and implementation to ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Your strong technical skills, coupled with excellent communication and customer service abilities, will be crucial to your success in this role. Responsibilities : - Assist customers in designing robust and scalable Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure solutions based on their specific business requirements and workload needs. - Provide expert technical guidance on Nutanix architecture, sizing, and best practices. - Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to customers during the implementation and deployment of Nutanix clusters. - Assist with the configuration and integration of Nutanix with existing IT infrastructure. - Monitor the performance of customer Nutanix environments to proactively identify and address potential issues. - Ensure system availability and reliability for customers through proactive monitoring and maintenance. - Perform routine system maintenance tasks on customer Nutanix clusters. - Plan and execute system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations, with minimal disruption to customer operations. - Assist customers in designing, implementing, and managing backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes within their Nutanix environment. - Provide guidance on leveraging Nutanix features for data protection and recovery. - Provide timely and effective technical support to customers, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to their Nutanix infrastructure. - Collaborate with Nutanix support and other IT personnel or vendors as needed for complex problem resolution. - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of procedures, configurations, and technical drawings for customer environments. - Provide training and knowledge transfer to customer IT staff to empower them to manage their Nutanix infrastructure effectively. Qualifications : - Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Experience : Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience working with Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure in a support or implementation role. - Virtualization Technologies : Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, with practical experience in platforms such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V. - Operating Systems : Proven experience working with both Windows Server and various Linux operating system distributions. - Networking & Storage : Solid understanding of fundamental networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs) and storage technologies (SAN, NAS, iSCSI, NFS). - Troubleshooting & Problem Solving : Demonstrated strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. - Communication & Documentation : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.1 Strong skills in creating detailed and accurate technical documentation.
