Job Description

Position : ServiceNow Developer Total Experience : 6 Years Location : Chennai/Bangalore/Hyderabad (Hybrid) Job Type : Full-Time Notice Period : Immediate About the Job : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our dynamic team. As a ServiceNow Developer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions on the ServiceNow platform. You will leverage your deep understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and expertise in various ServiceNow modules to build and maintain applications that streamline our IT operations and enhance service delivery. This role requires a strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities : Development and Implementation : - Design, develop, and implement solutions on the ServiceNow platform, including but not limited to configurations, customizations, scripting, integrations, and workflow automation. - Develop and maintain technical documentation related to ServiceNow implementations, configurations, and customisations. - Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using JavaScript, GlideScript, AngularJS, and other relevant ServiceNow technologies. - Configure and customize various ServiceNow modules based on business requirements. - Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other internal/external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and other integration methods. - Perform unit testing and contribute to system integration testing to ensure the quality and functionality of developed solutions. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow applications and integrations. Collaboration and Communication : - Collaborate with business analysts, process owners, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within ServiceNow. - Participate in requirements gathering sessions and provide technical insights and recommendations. - Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients regarding project status, technical challenges, and solutions. - Work closely with ServiceNow administrators to ensure the platform is configured and maintained according to best practices. Best Practices and Continuous Improvement : - Adhere to ServiceNow development best practices, standards, and guidelines. - Stay up-to-date with the latest ServiceNow features, updates, and industry trends. - Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend technical solutions to enhance efficiency and user experience. - Contribute to the development and maintenance of ServiceNow knowledge base and documentation. Module Expertise : - Demonstrate strong expertise in at least three of the following ServiceNow modules : 1. HAM (Hardware Asset Management) : Implement and manage hardware asset lifecycle, track inventory, and optimize hardware utilization. 2. SAM (Software Asset Management) : Implement and manage software licenses, ensure compliance, and optimize software spending. 3. CMDB (Configuration Management Database) : Design and maintain the CMDB, ensuring data accuracy and integrity for effective incident, problem, and change management. 4. Discovery : Configure and troubleshoot ServiceNow Discovery to automatically populate and maintain the CMDB. 5. Integrations : Design, develop, and maintain integrations with various third-party systems. 6. Epro (Procurement Management) : Implement and configure procurement workflows within ServiceNow. 7. CSM (Customer Service Management) : Develop and implement solutions to manage customer interactions, cases, and service level agreements. Mandatory Requirements : - Minimum of 6 years of experience in ServiceNow development. - Proven expertise in IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and best practices. - Strong hands-on experience in developing and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform. - In-depth knowledge and practical experience in at least three (3) of the following ServiceNow modules : 1. HAM (Hardware Asset Management) 2. SAM (Software Asset Management) 3. CMDB (Configuration Management Database) 4. Discovery 5. Integrations (ServiceNow integrations with other tools and systems) 6. Epro (Procurement Management) 7. CSM (Customer Service Management) - Proficiency in JavaScript, GlideScript, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, and other relevant web technologies. - Experience with ServiceNow REST/SOAP APIs and web services for integrations. - Solid understanding of ServiceNow workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and other core platform features. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - - Willingness to work in a hybrid model, with presence in the Chennai/Bangalore/Hyderabad office as required. - Must be available for immediate joining. Preferred Qualifications : - ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification. - ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification in relevant modules. - - Experience with Agile development methodologies. - Familiarity with ITIL framework. - Experience with ServiceNow Service Portal development.
