Senior Data Engineer - Big Data Platform

Job Responsibilities : - Develop operational procedures for managing and delivering data to support business operations, strategic objectives, and advanced analytics. - Utilize subject matter expertise and key partnerships to define metadata, data classifiers, and governance standards for business-critical data. - Define and document data requirements of key stakeholders, ensuring clarity in data usage across business and functional areas. - Partner with technology and business teams to establish data quality standards and ensure compliance with content, security, and governance policies. - Work with Salesforce and Redshift data sources, optimizing data ingestion, transformation, and analysis. - Collaborate with data engineers to implement ETL pipelines and improve data integration, modelling, and storage across cloud-based platforms. - Investigate root causes of data issues and provide recommendations for remediation and improvement. - Ensure the efficient usage of big data platforms and cloud-based data solutions for enterprise-wide reporting and analytics. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills : - 8 years of experience in a data-related field, with a strong focus on data management, governance, and analytics. - Hands-on experience with Data Engineering, ETL processes, and cloud-based technologies. - Proficiency in SQL and experience working with Redshift or other cloud-based data warehouses. - Experience with Salesforce integration, working on Customer Data Platform. - Strong understanding of data pipelines, data modelling, and database management. - Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and regulatory compliance. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams. - Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and business acumen. Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills : - Experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, or Databricks. - Knowledge of Python, R, or other analytical programming languages. - Understanding of data security, privacy frameworks, and compliance policies. - Experience in data lifecycle management and product management for data-driven initiatives.
