Data Analytics Leader - Power BI

Job Description : Dexian is looking for an experienced and motivated leader, Data and Reporting to join our global team. This person will lead the strategic data management, governance, and compliance initiatives for all of our business segments. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of data management principles, data privacy laws, and the ability to develop effective data governance policies. Job Description : Leadership, Team building, Stakeholder Management : - Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, team building, and communication skills. - Build and lead a high-performing data & analytics team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. - Collaborate with IT, business leaders, and external partners to drive data-driven transformation initiatives. Strategy & Execution : - Help to define and drive the organization's data & analytics strategy aligned with business objectives. - Advocate for best practices in data engineering (SQL), reporting & analytics (Power BI), and data science across the organization Operations. - Oversee data ingestion, transformation, and storage pipelines using ETL/ELT tools and frameworks. - Oversee report and dashboard development, enhancements, and modeling in Power BI. - Experience in agile project methodology execution. - Participate in daily standup meetings and track the progress of the stories and team's utilization. - Hands-on experience in managing Data Warehouse support engagements with SLA adherence. - Oversee a data governance framework to ensure data quality, integrity, and security. - Ensure data privacy, compliance, and security best practices (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.) are followed Modernization. - Develop a roadmap for data modernization, incorporating Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, and Cloud-based solutions. - Have a general understanding of cloud platforms (AWS /Azure/Fabric) and modern data architectures. - Drive the adoption of cloud-based data platforms (AWS/ Azure) to enhance scalability and performance. - Implement scalable Data Lakes and Lakehouse architectures for efficient data processing and analytics. - Exposure to Machine Learning and AI concepts with a strategic understanding of their applications. - Optimize data storage and processing on cloud platforms (AWS/ Azure Synapse, Databricks etc. Work location : Chennai (ref:hirist.tech)
