Job Description
Job Summary : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Operations & Support Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and excellent communication abilities. This role will be responsible for leading a team in providing operational support, managing data pipelines, and ensuring the stability and performance of our data warehouse and reporting solutions. The candidate will leverage their experience in SQL, Control-M, and database management to drive efficiency and effectiveness within the data operations environment. Key Responsibilities : Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement : - Lead and mentor a team of data operations and support professionals. - Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. - Effectively communicate with stakeholders across various departments. - Build and maintain strong relationships with business users and technical teams. Operational Support & Incident Management : - Manage and resolve operational issues related to data pipelines, databases, and reporting systems. - Ensure timely and accurate resolution of incidents and service requests. - Implement and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems. - Provide 3 years of experience in an operational support role. Data Warehouse & Database Management : - Develop, maintain, and optimize data warehouses and databases. - Perform database performance tuning, analysis, and specification. - Design and implement data models and schemas. - Conduct data unit testing to ensure data quality and accuracy. Job Scheduling & Automation : - Manage and maintain job schedules using Control-M. - Automate data processing and operational tasks to improve efficiency. Reporting & Analytics : - Develop and support reporting solutions using tools like Power BI (advantageous). - Extract and transform data using SQL languages. - Ensure data accuracy and consistency in reports. Cloud Technologies : - Utilize and manage AWS S3 and Redshift cloud computing environments (desired). - ETL Processes - Experience with Ab Initio ETL tool is strongly desired. Software Development Lifecycle : - Knowledgeable about all phases of the software development life cycle. Problem Solving and Analysis : - Demonstrate strong solution analysis and problem-solving skills. - Pay close attention to detail and maintain strong organizational skills. Business Processes : - Good understanding of service and product support business processes. Required Skills and Experience : - 3 to 10 years of experience in a similar data operations and support environment. - 3 years of experience in an operational support role. - Proven experience in team leadership. - Excellent interpersonal communication and stakeholder engagement skills. - Strong proficiency in SQL languages. - Experience working with Control-M for job scheduling. - Experience in developing databases and data warehouses. - Experience with data unit testing. - Strong understanding of database performance optimization and tuning. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Solution analysis and problem-solving skills. Desired Skills and Experience : - Experience with AWS S3 and Redshift cloud computing. - Experience with Ab Initio. - Development experience in reporting solutions like Power BI. - Finance or banking industry experience. Certificates to demonstrate knowledge and competency. Qualifications : Certificate or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
