ETL Quality Assurance Engineer - Datawarehouse Testing

Job Description : We are looking for an ETL QA Engineer with 5 years of experience who can join within 15-30 days. Work Location : Hybrid - Bangalore. Experience : 5 Years. Responsibilities : - Develop and execute test cases, test scripts, test plans, and test scenarios for end-to-end data quality. - Perform thorough testing of ETL processes, data warehouses, and BI reports. - Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency throughout the data lifecycle. - Write complex SQL queries to validate data transformations and ensure data integrity. - Analyze data from various sources (Redshift, MySQL) to identify discrepancies and anomalies. - Verify data accuracy in Power BI reports and dashboards. - Understand and validate source-to-target mapping documents and data transformation logic. - Ensure that data transformations are implemented correctly according to business requirements. - Design and execute API tests to validate data integration and data exchange. - Develop and maintain automated API test frameworks. - Develop and support existing automation test frameworks for functional and performance testing. - Implement automated testing strategies to improve testing efficiency and coverage. - Monitor and report bugs/defects using bug tracking systems (JIRA). - Follow up with the development team to ensure timely resolution of defects. - Conduct root cause analysis of defects and recommend process improvements. - Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including setting up and configuring automated testing within Azure pipelines. - Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment. - Utilize GIT/GitHub for version control and collaborative development. - Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Required Skills : - Excellent understanding of ETL, Data Warehousing, and BI reporting concepts and methodologies. - Experience in testing data integration and reporting systems. - Proficient in writing complex SQL queries for data validation and analysis. - Experience with Redshift and MySQL databases. - Experience in testing and validating Power BI reports and dashboards. - Experience in API testing and automation. - Experience in developing and maintaining automated test frameworks. - Experience in using bug tracking systems (JIRA). - Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including automated testing and CI/CD pipelines. - Proficiency in using GIT/GitHub for version control. - Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies. Preferred Skills (Optional) : - Experience with other ETL testing tools. - Experience with cloud-based data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery). - Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell). - Experience with performance testing tools. - Relevant certifications in testing or data warehousing.
