Secondary Teacher

POSITION: Secondary Teacher- temporary ASSIGNMENT: Social Studies, Career Life Education, Home Economics-Family Management (Grade 10) FTE: 1.0 LOCATION: Correlieu Secondary School EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing February 3, 2025 until June 30, 2025 Basic Qualifications: A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possess one or more of the following: Training Specialization: Secondary Education with a major in Social Studies, Home Economics Related Teaching Experience: Recent successful experience as a Secondary Social Studies, Home Economics Teacher is preferred A Reasonable Expectation: based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff. Additional Qualifications: Two or more courses at the 100 or 200 level in Social Studies Other: Commitment to the School Growth Plan Commitment to the School-based Team The starting annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to $109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
