Job Description
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience, or an Associates degree and 8 years of experience; or, a High School diploma and 12 years of U.S. Army experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Minimum of 6 years of U.S. Army experience. Minimum of 3 years of recent experience with U.S. Army Property Book Office services. Knowledge of applications in a computerized environment, including spreadsheet applications and databases (e.g. GCSS-A, EFLIPL, Decision Support Tool, Excel, Access, Power Point). Must meet visa and or work permit requirements for the country of assignment. U.S. citizenship required. Active Secret Security clearance. Preferred: 12 years of experience in US Army Logistics in support of Property Book Office services. Former US Army Senior NCO (SFC - SGM), Senior Warrant Officer (CW3-CW5), or Commissioned Officer (CPT-LTC). Bilingual Italian or German Language Proficiency. Location: Vicenza, Italy Role: The Property Book Office (PBO) Support Specialist will support the 173rd IBCT (A) North of the Alps (NOTA) and South of the Alps (SOTA) for a variety of supported training and operational requirements. In this role, you will support the brigade/unit logistical process for a Department of Defense agency serving and protecting US Army personnel operating in both in garrison and austere locations. Responsibilities and what you’ll do: Under limited supervision, perform technical supply management work related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Tasks may be segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. You will provide the following functions in support of the accountable officer(s): Property Accountability & Asset Management: Maintain 100% accountability of authorized equipment using Global Combat Support System- Army (GCSS-Army). Conduct physical inventories, reconcile discrepancies, and prepare adjustment documents. Manage redistribution and retrograde operations to optimize Army readiness. Training & Advisory Support: Train unit supply personnel on property accountability processes, GCSS-Army operations, and regulatory compliance. Provide expert advice to government representatives on supply chain and logistical matters. Audit Compliance & Records Management: Maintain audit-ready records for inspections. Ensure compliance with Army regulations, CSDP, and support audit readiness tasks. Exercise & Operational Support: Provide logistics and property accountability support for exercises and operations. Participate in planning meetings, working groups, and in-progress reviews. Inventory management utilizing an authorized Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) or manual procedures, including but not limited to: Order of Major End Items and/or Non-expendable items, Storage of equipment, Receipt of equipment, Issue of equipment, Inventory adjustment to maintain accurate data, Redistribution of equipment as directed by the Government, Retrograde of equipment, Records management to meet audit requirements, DODAAC Coordinator, Financial Liability of Property Loss (FLIPL) Management, Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE) management.
