Job Description
Job Position: Deskside Support Technician Shift Info: M-F, Full-Time (on-site) Location: Toronto, ON Overview: Our client is looking for a proactive and skilled Deskside Support Technician to deliver both on-site and remote IT assistance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping users resolve a range of technical issues, both common and complex. This role will act as the primary point of contact for on-site technical support, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of information systems. Key Responsibilities: Provide timely and effective on-site and remote support to resolve IT-related issues. Receive and review service requests, addressing and resolving all technical issues. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems escalated from the Service Desk that require on-site support. Ensure issues are addressed professionally, efficiently, and with a focus on customer satisfaction. Maintain clear documentation of technical issues, solutions, and resolutions for future reference. Collaborate with other technical teams as needed to solve more complex problems. Follow up on service requests to ensure quick resolution and high user satisfaction. Log and prioritize all incidents and service requests (Level 1 Support). Provide on-site Level 2 support for incidents and requests within the technician’s area of expertise. Conduct proactive site visits and circulating throughout the workspace. Qualifications: Proven experience in deskside support and IT assistance, with expertise in both remote and on-site support. Strong technical knowledge of computer systems, software, and networking. Ability to resolve both routine and complex technical problems efficiently. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to clearly explain technical issues to users. Strong leadership qualities and a proactive approach to problem-solving and service delivery. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to professionally handle user requests. Desired Skills: Experience in managing and prioritizing multiple service requests. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with users and colleagues. Self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team. Proficient in ticketing and documentation, ensuring all actions, resolutions, and tickets are recorded in the system. Ability to collaborate with the appropriate support teams and escalate unresolved issues as necessary. A demonstrated technical background and an eagerness to prevent recurring technical issues. Ability to take initiative to continuously improve the user experience and office operations.
