Looking for an Accountant position? We have a job for you Excel Careers and Excel Interim provide multilingual administrative support staff to companies across all sectors, specializing in profiles such as Receptionists, Management Assistants, Executive / Personal Assistants, HR Assistants, Sales & Marketing Assistants, Office Managers, Customer Service Representatives and Digital Marketing Officers. We provide both permanent and interim contracts. Our client is a well-established and respected firm based in Brussels, specializing in providing high-quality financial and accounting services to a diverse range of clients. As they continue to expand, they are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented trilingual Accountant to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with both local and international teams. As an Accountant, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. You will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and providing essential support to senior management in financial decision-making. Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Assist with the preparation of tax filings, VAT returns, and other regulatory reporting. Monitor and reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies. Provide financial analysis and support for budgeting and forecasting activities. Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations. Liaise with auditors during the annual audit process. Manage and maintain accounting software and systems. Assist with payroll processing and related financial tasks. Support management with ad hoc financial tasks and reporting. Trilingual in English, French, and Dutch (both written and spoken). Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar financial role, preferably within a corporate, legal, or professional services environment. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations. Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of Belgian tax laws and financial regulations is a plus. Relevant degree or professional certification in accounting (e.g., CFE, ACCA) is desirable but not mandatory.
