CS System Engineering Specialist - Converting

The candidate will be part of the Customer Service Technical Department and will be responsible for hardware and software design for the customer service technical office, maintaining complex systems to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities: Design HW and SW upgrades of converting machinery Create software architecture, defining how different parts of the system will interact with each other Verify, align and program technological updates for the machinery Develop and report new upgrades and revamping in the HW-SW field Indicate any project warnings in terms of technical difficulties, material procurement, special requests Perform internal tests for the automation part of the machine Manage any issues during assembly and testing Share with the team the reporting of machinery upgrades carried out Identify any new standard machine upgrades Evaluate the feasibility of customers’ requests To succeed in this role you should have: Degree in Automation, Electronic Engineering or similar studies Previous experience of at least 5 years as Software & Electrical Design in an automation company Technical background in industrial automation is mandatory Knowledge of PLC and HMI Siemens STEP 7, TIA PORTAL and Rockwell Knowledge of Pilz, Profinet, Profibus Ability to read wiring diagrams Fluent spoken and written Italian and English are mandatory Problem-solving skills Able to work under pressure with strong time management skills Ability to prioritize and deal with urgencies Open to travel Team player Goals and results-oriented What we offer: Be a part of a dynamic and collaborative team Enjoy career growth and development opportunities in a global company Be part of an organization committed to innovation and excellence Onboarding plan Training program and extensive learning catalog Safety culture Welfare Internal canteen free of charge Additional information If you are interested in becoming part of the Valmet team in Lucca, please send your application as soon as possible but no later than March 5 - we are eagerly waiting for your application We will begin reviewing applications as we receive them.
