Job Description

A manufacturing company is currently seeking an Associate Financial Controller to join their finance team. In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing and submitting monthly reports on the companys financial performance, variable costs, and staff expenses. Provide timely updates on sales and overheads to the Financial Controller. Manage and supervise subordinates, overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and inventory. Support the Financial Controller with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc projects aimed at improving organizational efficiency. As an Associate Financial Controller , you will be responsible for the following: Manage and provide financial services to various departments within the organization. Oversee AP, AR, FAR, CB, TB, and petty cash. Monitor depreciation, CAPEX, and asset management. Oversee OPEX expenditure and ensure that efficiency projects are tracked and reported. Support the local financial operations team with daily processing and compliance with internal controls and procedures. Prepare and submit annual transfer pricing submissions. Compile the annual financial statements. Manage and oversee annual external/internal audits and other required audits. Assist the Financial Controller with risk mitigation for bad debts. Custodian of the insurance profile, ensuring sufficient risk cover on assets. Ensure that internal control procedures and files are up to date and implemented. Support the finance team in implementing new policies and procedures as new work streams are added. Review customer contracts for risks and profitability. Review financial contracts sent to finance for completeness and risks. Apply for the necessary approvals for financial processes. Review balance sheet items (assets and liabilities) prepared by subordinates for quality. Report discrepancies in balance sheet items to the Financial Controller. Investigate and resolve discrepancies and inefficiencies. Ensure compliance with JSOX and Stravis requirements. Assist the Financial Controller with various financial projects and ad hoc duties. Ensure effective outcomes in various projects. Empower subordinates to achieve project outcomes. Provide accurate reporting and analysis for ad hoc requests. Analyze OPEX and operational bottlenecks. Assist the Financial Controller with compiling budgets and forecasts. Compile and analyze contribution margin reports. Compile PCR reports for budget and forecast purposes. Assist with obtaining the budget purchase plan. Compile variance reports between budgeted/forecasted vs. actual performance. Assist the Financial Controller with all other calculations related to the budget. Qualifications and Skills: Completed BCom in Finance Completed SAIPA articles Experience in a Manufacturing industry would be beneficial Reporting experience in multinational corporations.
