If you're passionate about working with technical data, driving efficiency, and ensuring smooth operations in a high-paced production environment, this opportunity is for you About the Role A leading automotive manufacturer is seeking a dynamic Technical Data Analyst to join their Production Department in Kariega. This 24-month contract offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment where your analytical skills and technical expertise will directly contribute to the success of the company’s production and supply chain processes. What You’ll Be Doing: Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM): Ensure accurate BOMs for series and pre-series parts across local, export, and in-house supply chains. Engineering Change Management: Evaluate and implement engineering changes, ensuring smooth transitions in production. Convert E/BOM to P/BOM: Translate Engineering BOMs into Production BOMs for efficient and accurate manufacturing processes. Coordinate New Component Requests: Manage the “Neuteile” (New Components) process to secure imported materials for production. Prevent Production Line Stoppages: Implement temporary corrections to rectify errors in part usage, PR numbers, and trim combinations. Supply Chain Coordination: Provide precise BOMs to JIT, JIS, and kit suppliers to maintain uninterrupted production. Ad-Hoc Data Investigations: Resolve P/BOM-related queries to ensure timely part deliveries and seamless production flow. ? What You Need to Succeed: ? Qualification: ND/Degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Engineering, Production Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Technology, or Data Science. ? Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience within the automotive industry, preferably in a Logistics environment. ? Essential Skills & Knowledge: Strong understanding of Technical Data, Engineering Change Processes, and BOM management. Familiarity with the PEP (Product Emergence Process). Knowledge of RPA (Robotic Process Automation). Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Project management expertise. Excellent communication skills across all levels.
