Azure Data Engineer – Johannesburg – R650k up to R850k per annum

We are looking for a dynamic Azure Data Engineer to drive data engineering initiatives in alignment with our organizational standards, frameworks, and roadmaps. Responsibilities: Design and maintain a comprehensive data architecture across multiple application platforms. Analyze data elements and systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability. Develop, manage, and optimize data pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). Build and implement data tools to support data consumers in optimizing data usage. Design, develop, and execute APIs to support data-driven applications. Work across various platforms to enhance data integration and performance. Conduct root cause analysis to resolve data and process-related issues. Apply knowledge of integration patterns, styles, and protocols to optimize data flow. Collaborate with technology teams and country data teams to implement scalable data solutions within architectural guidelines. Qualifications and Experience: Degree in business commerce, information studies, information technology 5 years experience in building databases, warehouses, reporting and data integration solutions 5 years of deep understanding of data pipelining and performance optimisation 5 years experience in database programming languages Strong proficiency in Azure Databricks and PySpark .
