Intermediate Teacher (Gr 4-7)

POSITION: Teacher General - temporary ASSIGNMENT: Intermediate (Gr 4-7) FTE: 1.0 LOCATION: Riverview Elementary School EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing September 1, 2024 until June 30, 2025 Basic Qualifications: A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possess one or more of the following: Training Specialization: Elementary Education with Specialization at the intermediate Level. Related Teaching Experience: Recent successful experience teaching at the intermediate level. A Reasonable Expectation: based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff. Additional Qualifications: Not required for this posting Other: Willingness to support the school plan for Student Success Willingness to work as part of the school based team to implement plans for struggling students Commitment to working as part of a team in the development and implementation of the School Growth Plan and Aboriginal Enhancement Agreement The starting annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to $109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
