Job Description
My client is one of the leaders in the energy industry, looking to add an experienced and driven Electrical Foreman to the team. A unique opportunity to propel your career forward to the next level. They are involved with diverse projects that include the mixed-use residential, ICI (industrial, commercial and institutional) and design build sectors. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing company with a healthy pipeline of existing and diverse projects. You will join a successful team and help lead colleagues to build successful projects. Supervise and coordinate electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors. Plan, schedule, and oversee electrical installations per blueprints and codes. Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and the Canadian Electrical Code. Conduct safety meetings, enforce PPE usage, and promote a safe work environment. Troubleshoot electrical issues, conduct testing, and ensure quality control. Manage project budgets, material procurement, and tool inventory. Communicate with project managers, clients, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow. Maintain accurate records of work progress, inspections, and incident reports. Train and mentor apprentices, ensuring proper skill development. Coordinate with utility companies and inspectors for necessary approvals. Implement and oversee energy-efficient and sustainable electrical solutions. Monitor work performance and enforce adherence to company policies and deadlines. Requirements Ideally 5 years in a Foreman role (or related leadership role) Ideally 5 years in a Foreman role (or related role) Experience on high-rise, resi or commercial (or large-scale new build projects) Must hold a Real Seal (Electrical) Strong communicator, can run a team and lead from the front Compensation Hourly rate: $50 - $65 (depends on candidate experience and team fit) Industry standard vacation Vehicle allowance Discretionary bonus
