We are now on a determined path to growth, leading to great personal and career growth opportunities. We seek a detailed and self-directed Finance Manager for this newly created role. The Finance Manager is an essential role in Arconas’ Finance team, with a primary goal of ensuring there is minimal or no financial waste in Arconas’ day-to-day financial processes. This task will be accomplished through monitoring and analyzing data. Arconas is a hybrid work environment. Employees are required to work from the Office a minimum of 3 days per week, at present. During the onboarding and training period for the new hire, the employee may be expected to work from the Office up to 5 days per week. Duties and Responsibilities Assisting in preparation and filing for monthly GST/HST, BC PST, and QST returns Assisting in the preparation and filing of US state sales tax returns Responsible for overseeing the progress of all direct reports in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Preparation of weekly and monthly P&L reports Weekly inventory reports are performed from the weekly cycle count. Responsibilities include balancing purchases and sales against inventory, while working with the Senior staff and the Production Planner to allocate the costing Performing monthly and annual accounting cycle, including accruals and adjustments,s to provide timely financial knowledge to the Senior Leadership Team Responsible for the completion of all journal entries, accounts, and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Assists with interim and year-end financial audits along with other audits, as required Liable for financial reporting, including but not limited to, weekly cash position, weekly cash movement, and daily bank recs. Review and approve weekly payment runs to vendors Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring financial statement accuracy Ad hoc financial analysis of proposed investments and projects Liaises with regulatory authorities Performs any other relevant duties and responsibilities defined in company policies and procedures, applicable legislation Other duties, as assigned by the Finance Director Qualifications Degree or diploma in Business, Accounting, Finance 5 years of experience with progressive growth in the Accounting/Finance field, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role Holding an advanced level in the CPA program Proficient in Word and SharePoint Advanced abilities in Excel, including VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros Prior ERP experience, experience with Epicor would be an asset Computer literacy utilizing MS Office applications, as well as proficiency in spreadsheet applications, and the ability to prepare financial records using financial software Understanding of accounts payable and receivable, payments, accounting, and budgeting Experience and knowledge in a warehouse/manufacturing environment Strong interpersonal skills Strategic and mental agility, and results-driven Ability to receive constructive feedback from colleagues and supervisors to improve results Ability to work independently and as part of a team Working Conditions Working in an office environment, or having a home office set up with appropriate internet connections to work efficiently, with managerial approval based on operational needs Occasional plant environment work; during inventory counts On occasion, work may be required to be performed outside of the normal workday, i.e., inventory count period, year-end Dynamic, interactive, fast-paced growth environment Physical Requirements Ordinary office setting physical demands, sitting, and working on a computer for extended periods Ability to lift up to 30 pounds Direct Reports 1 x Accounts Payable 1 x Accounts Receivable Specialist Ready to embark on an exciting journey with us?
