Warehouse Forklift Operator Shipping and Receiving

Contract-to-Hire (30 hours per week to start) Background Check Drug Screen We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing shipping, receiving, and inventory management operations while maintaining a strong commitment to workplace safety. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts and a basic understanding of warehouse management software (WMS), though we are willing to provide training in crane operation. A supportive team environment with a focus on safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality. Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation. Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials safely. Maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Software (WMS) or other tracking systems. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and warehouse procedures. Coordinate with carriers and vendors for timely deliveries and shipments. Organize warehouse storage efficiently to optimize space and accessibility. Assist in training on warehouse equipment, including crane operation (training provided). Perform regular safety inspections and report any hazards or equipment malfunctions. Qualifications & Skills: Required: Experience with forklift operation (certification preferred or ability to obtain). Strong understanding of workplace safety protocols. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Preferred: Experience with Warehouse Management Software (WMS) or similar inventory tracking systems. Prior experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse coordination. Willingness to learn and operate a crane (training provided).
