Job Description Job Description Overview The maintenance technician is responsible for repairing various equipment in the hospital, including all aspects of patient rooms. They assist outside contractors and service vendors during minor construction, maintenance, and repair projects, and perform other unforeseen duties as assigned. Primary Job Duties: 1. Perform a variety of skilled maintenance tasks, including repairs to doors, windows, and other building parts; assist in assembling furniture and other wood and metal structures; repair electrical components, including replacement of ballasts, bulbs, fixtures; test circuits; clear plumbing clogs and replace various plumbing components. 2. Perform or coordinate emergency repairs to building systems. 3. Perform daily checks and inspections of exterior lighting, grounds, and irrigation systems. 4. Update various documents, including work orders related to labor and/or materials, as requested by the Facility Manager or Chief Engineer. 5. Be available for emergency call back and standby duty. 6. Maintain a good record of attendance and punctuality. 7. Actively participate in ongoing training to maintain, update, and add knowledge to personal skill and knowledge inventory. 8. Utilize computerized work order system. 9. Be responsible for maintenance and repair of conference rooms on hospital grounds. 10. Notify the Facility Manager or Chief Engineer of A/V equipment needing repair or maintenance. 11. Provide internal and external clients with exceptional, superior customer service, collaboration, competence, communication, and care while employed at NorthBay Health. Must Haves: Experience: 2-3 years’ experience trouble shooting and repairing electro-mechanical systems. Experience in hospitality and healthcare industries helpful. 1. Education: High school graduate preferred. 2. Licensure: Must possess a valid California Driver’s License as duties include driving on NorthBay’s behalf. A clean driving record is required evidenced by annual submittal to the Property & Facilities Manager of DMV driving record. Compensation: $22.00/hr to $26.00/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
