Certification Details BLS ACLS NIHSS Job Details A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for Night ICU RN's. Open Heart Trained. Job Requirements BLS ACLS NIHSS Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles. Schedule Information 13 Weeks Every other Weekend/Holiday 0630-1830, 1830-0630 Self scheduling for core staff, travelers added in. Unable to guarantee block scheduling Weekend Requirements: Every other Holiday Requirements: Rotating based on weekend group Floating Requirements: Typically to PCU, possibly to MedSurg 3 shifts of unit/department specific orientation. Unit Specific Information of Beds: 33 beds, average daily census is 16 Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 for adults, 1:2-4 for Peds Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and Pediatrics, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, respiratory distress Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Any cardiac drip, insulin, sedation Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Health Support Tech M-F 0800-1630 RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: Nasal cannula to vent Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: RNs required to read and interpret Additional Details Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. WILL NOT APPROVE BLOCKED SCHEDULING OR SAME SCHEDULE/SHIFTS, MUST BE FLEXIBLE AND WILLING TO FLOAT AND WORK WHEN NEEDED.
