Job Description
This role demands a passion for fine dining, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of flavor combinations and global food trends. It requires strong leadership, exceptional presentation skills, and the ability to craft innovative dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients from the estates garden. Candidate Requirements: Recognized chef qualification with an outstanding food portfolio Minimum of five years experience as a chef Expertise in taste and flavor pairings, with a flair for visual presentation Up to date with global food trends and fine dining standards Strong mentoring and leadership skills to develop kitchen staff Ability to create new, original dishes daily based on seasonal produce Excellent stock management, price calculation, and purchasing skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Fluent in Afrikaans and English (written and spoken) Must have own transport and reside locally Proficient in computer skills for kitchen management tasks Commitment to maintaining the highest safety and hygiene standards This is a live out position
