Job Description Job Description BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF PALM BEACH COUNTY JOB DESCRIPTION Title: Junior Program Assistant Department/Location: Program Reports To: Club Director Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non Exempt: Part Time Primary Function: Reporting to the Club Director, the Junior Program Assistant (Junior PA) is assigned to support the implementation of programs within a specific Club function or program area, which may include, but is not limited to: the Food Program, Homework Help, Social Recreation, Sports and Fitness, other core program areas, transportation, and/or front desk/clerical assistance. Junior PAs who attend high school are expected to participate in Career Bound programs and are encouraged to compete for the coveted Youth of the Year award. The Junior PAs may not be assigned to their home (or previous home) Club; assignments are based on need. Key Roles (Essential Responsibilities): Complete BGCPBC full onboarding process. Complete New World of Work high school curriculum. Undergo training at assigned Club to learn to specific various job assignments, gaining hands-on experience and workforce competencies. Attend Club Staff trainings. If a Club member, participate in Career Bound programming and other teen programs such as Keystone Club and Youth of the Year. Enforce Boys & Girls Club Rules and safety protocols. Set a good example for members. Be a good listener to staff, volunteers, and members. Ensure members obey safety rules. Ensure work hours are tracked by using Club timekeeping system. Maintain and manage a safe environment. Relationships: Internal: Maintain contact with Club program staff and Director External: Maintain contact with members as needed Skills & Knowledge Required: Be 18 years of age or older. Preference will be given to regularly attending members of BGCPBC (aged 18 or older) or recent alumni. Possess an interest in youth development, social service and /or education careers. Ability to organize & follow lesson plans and directives. Commitment to upholding all BGCPBC safety protocols.
