Product Manager - Pumps

REPORTING TO THE SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT-PRODUCT MANAGEMENT JOB PURPOSE: To manage and drive the growth and pump product line on a global scale, ensuring alignment with the companys overall objectives and market demands by demonstrating strategic leadership and commercial acumen across various regions JOB FUNCTION: New Business Development: Collaboration with the senior leadership team to develop and execute strategies to expand market share globally Proactive assessment of future business needs Develop and implement regional strategies, within the matrix structure, to increase market share and drive growth of the pumps product line Marketing: Attendance and participation at exhibitions and events in order to increase companys recognition Ongoing liaison with Sales to improve market growth Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate customer needs to technical team as per the company process Foster strong collaboration with cross-functional teams such as engineering, sales and technical Generate concept designs for quotation purposes and new developments as per the company process Client Retention: Relationships and networks with key stakeholders and influencers are established and maintained Project manage all orders as required Continuous Improvement: Determine areas for improvement between product supply and customer need and develop a strategy to eliminate obstacles Identify shortfalls and improvement opportunities within the sales/product line interactions Product development in collaboration with Technical Manager and Technology department Technical Support: Provide feedback and insights to the global product team to inform product development and improvement Provide technical assistance and recommendations of equipment and processes to Sales Engineers as required Oversee the lifecycle of the product line within the region, from development to market launch and ongoing support QUALIFICATION: Tertiary qualification in a related Engineering field. eg. Mechanical/Metallurgical/Chemical REQUIREMENTS: At least 8 years in product (Pumps) management within a similar industry with 3 years of senior management experience Strong problem solving, decision making, communication, negotiation, influencing and leadership skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook) Strong networks in the mining and minerals processing industry Strong Business Development experience, Sales and technical experience in Pumps industry.
