The position of a Dealer Principle at Greytown has become available. This position will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the Toyota dealership, ensuring profitability, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and compliance with Toyota South Africas brand and franchise requirements. The role involves strategic leadership, financial management, sales growth, after-sales service excellence, and staff development. RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Performance & Profitability Develop and implement business strategies to drive dealership profitability. Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability across all departments (New & Used Car Sales, Service, Parts, and Finance). Set and achieve sales targets, service retention goals, and overall operational benchmarks. Ensure cost control measures are in place and adhered to. Sales & Marketing Drive new and used vehicle sales by setting and managing targets. Develop and implement marketing strategies to enhance brand presence and customer acquisition. Maintain relationships with fleet and corporate customers to boost bulk sales. Ensure showroom and digital marketing initiatives align with Toyotas brand standards. Customer Satisfaction & Retention Ensure exceptional customer service and maintain high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores. Implement customer retention and loyalty programs. Address customer complaints professionally and ensure quick resolution. Oversee and improve service delivery in all customer touchpoints. After-Sales & Workshop Management Oversee service and parts departments to ensure efficiency and profitability. Ensure workshop productivity, efficiency, and quality of service meet Toyotas standards. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction in after-sales services. Implement strategies to maximize parts sales and accessory upselling. Financial & Risk Management Prepare and manage the dealerships annual budget and financial forecasts. Control stock levels, including vehicle and parts inventory, to ensure optimal cash flow. Ensure compliance with Toyota South Africas financial policies and reporting requirements. Monitor dealership expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives. People Management & Leadership Lead, mentor, and motivate department heads and staff across sales, service, and administration. Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team. Set performance objectives and conduct regular staff appraisals. Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Compliance & Brand Standards Ensure compliance with Toyota South Africas operational, financial, and customer service standards. Adhere to regulatory requirements, including FICA, POPIA, and the South African Labour Law. Ensure health and safety regulations are met within the dealership. Uphold Toyotas values, ethics, and reputation in the market. Requirements: REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications: Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Finance, or Automotive Management (preferred). Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a senior managerial role within an automotive dealership, preferably with Toyota. Legal Requirements: Valid drivers license Skills: Strong leadership and business acumen. Excellent financial and operational management skills. Strong negotiation and customer service abilities. Knowledge of dealership management software (e.g., Kerridge/CDK, Automate). Understanding of South African motor industry trends and regulations.
