Job Description Job Description Job Title: Machinist I Job Description We are seeking a Machinist I who will be responsible for operating machines, utilizing tools and equipment to build or repair products. The role involves using several types of equipment or machines such as lathes and mills for shaping, drilling, turning, milling, and grinding. Responsibilities Operate machines and utilize tools and equipment to build or repair products Use various types of equipment such as lathes and mills for shaping, drilling, turning, milling, and grinding Burr hole machine operations Assist with production machinist work Essential Skills Mechanical skills Change over skills Machine operating skills Experience with grinding machines Proficiency in reading English Additional Skills & Qualifications 0-2 years of relevant work experience Relevant manual machine shop equipment and CNC machining experience Eager to learn and some shop experience Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment involves operating machinery and equipment such as lathes and mills. Employees are expected to adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace. The role may involve working different shifts and wearing appropriate safety gear as required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, Texas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.69 - $17.69/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
