Job Description
Job Title: Restaurant Manager Location: Western Cape, Cape Winelands District, Stellenbosch Primary Industry: Travel, Leisure, Tourism and Hospitality Salary: ZAR30000 - ZAR40000 Per month Job Duties: Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant Manage staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction through excellent service Implement policies and procedures to maintain cleanliness and safety standards Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and quality food production Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, and scheduling expenditures Required Qualifications: Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role Excellent leadership and communication skills Strong understanding of food and beverage industry regulations Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations Education: Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in restaurant management and 5 luxury environments Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of restaurant software for inventory management and POS systems Strong financial acumen Excellent problem-solving abilities Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Food Safety and Hygiene Additional language proficiency Working Conditions: Flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays Fast-paced and dynamic environment Standing and walking for extended periods
