Power BI Developer - Reporting Tools

The Power BI Developer will be responsible for assisting with the rollout and implementation of Power BI across the organization. Provide training and support required to get the team fully up to speed. Utilize Power BI for data modeling, advanced analytics, and tool development to make business information readily accessible both internally and externally in a timely : Power BI : : 4 : Immediate : - Strong experience in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Data Modeling). - Proficiency in SQL Server (writing complex queries, stored procedures, indexing). - Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts. - Knowledge of Power BI Service (publishing, sharing, security setup). - Familiarity with integrating Power BI with other tools (Excel, SharePoint, APIs, etc.). - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Good communication skills to interact with business users and DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : - Power BI development and administration. - Building Analysis Services reporting models. - Developing visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop. - Connecting to data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business Intelligence. - Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports. - Able to implement row level security on data and have an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI. - Proficient in making DAX queries in Power BI desktop. - Expertise in using advance level calculations on the data set. - Responsible for design methodology and project documentation. - Able to develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards. - Should have knowledge and experience in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis. - Able to properly understand the business requirements and develop data models accordingly by taking care of the resources. - Adept in developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports as per the business requirements. - Able to integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS), or by API automation. Also, one must be experienced in developing custom visuals for Power BI. - Provide technical support and guidance in delivering solutions/services, resolving issues, implementing change requests, providing tool functionality advise to report creators and report users in Power BI solution in Microsoft cloud platform - Showcase Power BI functionalities by creating proof of concepts to add value to our business both at the report level and at the platform level - Mentor Power Users and other business users in development and deployment of Data Models, Reports and Dashboards - Work with IT team and Power Users closely to perform data extraction and data transformation processes to create the data set required for the dashboard - Implement feedback from business users and create final version of the dashboard - Perform data transformations (if required) to make data in format which can be easily scaled across different geographies / categories - Modify the processes (if required) to ensure they are set-up correctly to enable refresh of dashboard at intervals in the production environment - Learn about companys business as appropriate. - Shows up to work on time and attends work as scheduled. - All other duties as requested by supervisor or department management (ref:hirist.tech)
