Position Summary: Director, Tech AI Platform This role will leadthe strategic vision, development, and operation of McDonalds AI infrastructure, overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of a scalable platform that enables the development, deployment, and management of machine learning models across various business applications. Who were looking for: Primary Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Defining the overall AI platform strategy, roadmap, and key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with business objectives. Identifying opportunities to leverage AI across the organization and championing its adoption. Staying abreast of emerging AI technologies and trends to inform platform evolution. Technical Oversight: Architecting and designing a robust AI platform, including data pipelines, model training infrastructure, and deployment mechanisms. Overseeing the selection and implementation of appropriate AI tools, libraries, and cloud services. Ensuring the platform's scalability, performance, security, and compliance with industry standards. Team Management: Building and leading a high-performing team of AI engineers, machine learning engineers, and AI/MLOps specialists. Fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within the AI platform team. Providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members. Product Development: Collaborating with product managers and business stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI-driven product features. Defining product requirements, user experience, and APIs for the AI platform. Ensuring seamless integration of the AI platform with existing systems and applications. AI/MLOps Implementation: Establishing robust AI/MLOps practices for model development, monitoring, and deployment lifecycle management. Implementing continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for AI models. Monitoring model performance and identifying areas for improvement. Skill: Technical Expertise: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business, or Analytics or a relevant field, Masters or PhD preferred 15 years in AI/ML or related fields, including hands-on experience in building and deploying AI solutions Extensive experience in platform engineering, cloud technologies, and edge computing, with a proven track record in deploying large-scale AI systems. In-depth knowledge of AI infrastructure design, including data pipelines, scalable model serving, and automation frameworks. Strong skills in cloud integration and cost optimization, leveraging platforms likeAzure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Proficiency in AI techniques like deep learning, reinforcement learning, generative AI, Agentic AI and Edge AI Strong knowledge and deep experience of Python, proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks relevant to cloud development such as Kubernetes, Serverless, and cloud PaaS offerings Expertise in implementing CI/CD workflows and system monitoring tools to ensure reliability and scalability. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects. Leadership Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strategic thinking and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the retail industry challenges and opportunities related to AI applications. Awareness of ethical considerations and regulatory compliance in AI development. Work location: Hyderabad, India Work pattern: Full time role. Work mode: Hybrid.
