Job Description
1. Sales Strategy and Planning Develop Sales Plans : Create and implement strategic sales plans to increase group bookings and maximize revenue. Target Market Identification : Identify target markets for group sales, including corporate clients, event organizers, associations, and travel agencies. Setting Sales Goals : Establish sales targets and objectives to drive business growth, and work towards achieving them consistently. 2. Prospecting and Lead Generation Identifying Leads : Research and identify new leads and potential group clients, such as businesses looking for conference venues or organizations needing event space. Networking : Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to meet potential clients and build relationships with key decision-makers. Cold Calling & Outreach : Reach out to potential clients through cold calling, email campaigns, and direct outreach to generate leads. 3. Relationship Management Client Relationship Building : Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships. Account Management : Oversee the management of group accounts, ensuring clients are satisfied and their needs are met before, during, and after their events or stays. Customer Service : Respond promptly to client inquiries, assist with specific requests, and ensure that all group-related needs are fulfilled. 4. Proposal and Contract Management Prepare Proposals : Create customized proposals for group bookings, including pricing, packages, and terms that meet client requirements. Negotiation : Negotiate terms, pricing, and services with clients to close group sales deals, ensuring both client satisfaction and profitability. Contract Management : Finalize contracts for group bookings and ensure that terms and conditions are clearly defined and agreed upon by both parties. 5. Coordination of Group Arrangements Event Coordination : Work with other departments (e.g., catering, event planning, and operations) to ensure all aspects of group bookings are managed smoothly. Logistics Management : Coordinate details such as room block allocations, event space reservations, catering options, audio-visual requirements, transportation, and other logistics for group events. On-Site Support : Ensure smooth execution of group events by providing on-site support during the event, handling last-minute issues or adjustments. 6. Reporting and Analytics Sales Reporting : Track and report on group sales performance, including revenue, bookings, and goals. Provide regular updates to senior management. Market Trends Analysis : Monitor and analyze market trends to understand the competitive landscape, identify new opportunities, and adjust sales strategies accordingly. Budget Management : Manage group sales budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled and financial targets are met. 7. Marketing Collaboration Collaborate with Marketing : Work closely with the marketing team to create promotional materials, digital campaigns, and packages that target group clients. Brand Promotion : Help promote the brand and services through various marketing efforts, such as advertisements, promotional emails, and social media outreach. Market Research : Provide feedback to the marketing team regarding customer preferences and successful sales tactics. 8. Customer Feedback and Satisfaction Client Feedback : Gather feedback from group clients regarding their experience with the service, and use this information to improve future sales efforts. Follow-up : After an event or group stay, follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction, resolve any issues, and encourage repeat business. 9. Team Leadership and Support Team Collaboration : Collaborate with sales teams, customer service, and other departments to achieve sales objectives. Mentoring : Assist in mentoring junior sales staff or team members in group sales processes, strategies, and techniques. Training : Provide training to the team on product offerings, sales techniques, and customer service standards. 10. Budgeting and Forecasting Sales Forecasting : Forecast future sales based on current trends, seasonality, and past performance to help the organization plan for future business. Budgeting : Set and manage budgets for the group sales department, ensuring that sales efforts remain cost-effective.
