Senior Tableau Developer

Role : Senior Tableau : Remote Experience : 7 Years Job Type : Full-Time Notice Period : Immediate Joiners Preferred Job Description : Stalwart Innovations Pvt Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tableau Developer to join our dynamic and growing remote team. You will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into insightful and actionable visualizations for our business stakeholders. The ideal candidate possesses a strong passion for data storytelling, a deep understanding of data warehousing principles, and extensive hands-on experience with Tableau, Snowflake, advanced SQL, and DBT (Data Build Tool). You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of dashboard development, from gathering requirements to deployment and maintenance, contributing directly to our data-driven decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities : - Tableau Dashboard Development : Design, develop, and maintain advanced, interactive Tableau dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate complex data insights to various business users. This includes creating calculated fields, parameters, sets, groups, hierarchies, and utilizing advanced chart types and features. - Requirements Gathering and Collaboration : Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data scientists, and business users, to understand their data visualization needs and translate them into technical specifications and effective dashboard designs. - Advanced SQL Querying : Write complex and optimized SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, with a strong focus on efficiency and performance. - Snowflake Data Warehouse Expertise : Work extensively with Snowflake as the primary data warehouse, leveraging its features and functionalities to build scalable and performant BI solutions. This includes understanding Snowflake's architecture, virtual warehouses, and query optimization techniques. - DBT for Data Modeling and Transformation : Utilize DBT (Data Build Tool) to define, build, test, and document data transformations within the data warehouse. Create reusable and maintainable data models that serve as the foundation for Tableau dashboards. - Data Quality and Consistency : Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all reports and dashboards by implementing data validation and quality checks. - Performance Optimization : Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of Tableau dashboards and underlying data models to ensure fast load times and efficient data retrieval. - Code Reviews and Testing : Participate in code reviews of SQL and DBT scripts, as well as thorough testing of Tableau dashboards to ensure accuracy and functionality. - Documentation and Knowledge Sharing : Create comprehensive documentation for dashboards, data models, and development processes to facilitate team collaboration, knowledge transfer, and maintainability. - Troubleshooting and Support : Investigate and resolve issues related to data accuracy, dashboard performance, and user access. Provide ongoing support to end-users on Tableau functionality and data interpretation. - Stay Updated with Technology : Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest features and best practices in Tableau, Snowflake, DBT, and the broader data analytics landscape. Required Skills : - 7 years of experience in BI development and analytics, with a strong focus on data visualization using Tableau. - Expertise in Tableau dashboarding and data storytelling, including the ability to create visually appealing, interactive, and insightful dashboards that effectively communicate data-driven narratives. - Strong command over SQL, with extensive experience in writing complex and optimized queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis across various database systems, particularly Snowflake. - Hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehouse, including a deep understanding of its architecture, features, and best practices for performance and scalability. - Proven use of DBT (Data Build Tool) for data modeling, transformations, and ensuring data quality and consistency within a data warehouse environment. - Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, including dimensional modeling (star schema, snowflake schema), ETL/ELT processes, and best practices for building efficient data models. - Strong understanding of cloud data environments and experience working with data in cloud platforms. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and troubleshoot data-related issues. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Ability to work effectively in a fully remote setup, demonstrating self-motivation, discipline, and excellent time management skills. - Proven ability to collaborate effectively across time zones with team members and stakeholders located in different geographical locations. Preferred Qualifications : - Tableau Certification (Desktop Specialist or Professional). - Experience with Git and other version control tools for managing code and configurations. - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes and participation in agile ceremonies. - Experience with other data visualization tools beyond Tableau. - Knowledge of scripting languages like Python for data manipulation and : 7 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence development with a strong focus on Tableau.
