SAP HCM Technical Consultant

About the Role : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP HCM Technical Consultant to join our SAP team. The ideal candidate will possess strong ABAP development skills specific to the HCM module and demonstrate hands-on experience in supporting and customizing SAP HR functionalities. You will be responsible for delivering technical solutions, supporting enhancements, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the SAP HCM Responsibilities : - Develop, customize, and maintain technical components for SAP HCM (HR) modules including PA (Personnel Administration), OM (Organizational Management), Time Management, and Payroll. - Design and implement HR ABAP programs, reports, enhancements, user exits, BAPIs, BADIs, and interfaces. - Work on ALV Reports, Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, Adobe Forms, and Data Dictionary objects. - Build and maintain interfaces with third-party systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, Payroll engines, etc. - Collaborate with functional consultants to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of custom objects. - Develop and support LSMW, BDC, IDOCs, ALE, and BAPI-based integrations. - Work with workflow development related to HR processes. - Support SAP upgrades and enhancement packs, ensuring technical compatibility and resolution of issues. - Document all technical specifications, code, and configuration settings as per project standards. - Provide end-user and client support, including training and resolving production Skills Required : Core Technical Skills : - Strong proficiency in ABAP Programming. - In-depth understanding of SAP HCM modules: PA, OM, Time Management, Payroll, ESS/MSS, and Benefits. - Experience with HR Infotypes, Logical Databases (PNP, PNPCE). - Extensive knowledge of SAP Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, Adobe Forms. - Expertise in Reports (Classical, Interactive, ALV) and module pool & Interfaces : - Strong knowledge of BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancement Points. - Experience with IDocs, ALE, RFC, Web Services integration. - Familiarity with SAP PI/PO or other middleware for HCM integrations (is a & Tools : - Experience in SAP HR Workflows, UWL tasks, and Event Triggers. - Knowledge of SAP Fiori and SAP UI5 for HCM applications (is an & Data Migration : - Hands-on experience with LSMW, BDC, and Data Migration tools. - Exposure to SAP Query, InfoSets, and Ad-hoc reporting Skills & Other Requirements : - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and within a team. - Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. - Exposure to Agile/Waterfall project methodologies. - Willingness to learn and adapt to emerging SAP : - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. - SAP Certification in ABAP or HCM (preferred but not mandatory). - Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP HCM Technical roles (ref:hirist.tech)
