Hello, I'm Caroline, Recruitment Consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment consultancy specializing in the recruitment of finance professionals. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the South Shore of Montreal. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll. I'm looking for a Financial Controller for my client based on the South Shore. This is a permanent hybrid position. Management and disclosure of financial information - Prepare and maintain annual financial forecasts to ensure sound financial management of the company; - Carry out monthly, quarterly and annual financial analyses; - Handle all financial and accounting operations - Support the preparation and analysis of month-end and year-end financial statements; - Prepare documentation and monitor external audits performed by government authorities (income tax, sales tax, other); - Provide management with essential information to make informed decisions; - Produce various TAXES, CNESST, DAS, CCQ and other reports; - Prepare year-end files. Internal control and compliance - Implement and monitor corporate controls and financial performance indicators; - Analyze financial results of operations to understand variances and identify risks and opportunities; - Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reports; - Oversee regulatory obligations, which often include tax planning and compliance; - Ensure payroll compliance in collaboration with accounting technician - Ensure proper management of accounts payable and receivable and payment terms; - Take charge of data entry and final analysis of quarterly and annual physical inventory counts; - Optimize administrative processes, including tools and software, to ensure efficiency, accuracy and compliance of financial and accounting information; - Sign and ensure compliance of sales contracts and insurance coverage. Financing, costs and profitability - Analyze and determine the cost price of products and implement adjustment controls and processes; - Plan and implement budgets and prepare a monthly P&L report and a clear rendering of expense centers for managers; - If necessary, actively seek and complete salary subsidies; - Complete various funding applications; - Analyze variances between actual manufacturing costs and standard costs; - Maintain sound relations with sponsoring financial institutions. Human resources management - Manage the performance of the accounting team; - Hire, train and retain qualified accounting staff; - Monitor absences, leaves and vacations of the accounting team; - Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Any other training deemed equivalent will be taken into consideration; - Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position in a manufacturing environment; - CPA accounting designation (an asset) - Ability to meet deadlines; - Demonstrated inspirational leadership and management skills. - Fluently bilingual (French and English); - Excellent oral and written communication skills; - Strong organizational skills; - Ability to manage priorities effectively; - High integrity and openness combined with a commitment to good governance.
