Job Description
Supply Chain Procurement Specialist | Barcelona EVONA have partnered with an exciting telecoms start-up, who are developing and launching a new satellite constellation. They are looking for a Procurement Specialist with expertise in sourcing and procuring materials and components for spacecraft manufacturing. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the supply chain, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials, and negotiating favorable terms with suppliers. Key Responsibilities Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers globally. Manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance with company standards and contract terms. Develop and maintain a robust supplier base to meet evolving company needs. Negotiate favorable contract terms with suppliers, focusing on pricing, quality, delivery, and payment terms. Manage contracts through their lifecycle to ensure compliance and maximize value. Procure materials, components, and services from approved suppliers. Coordinate logistics to ensure on-time and in-full delivery of goods. Manage inventory levels to optimize costs and prevent stockouts. Implement quality control measures to ensure purchased goods meet company standards. Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities throughout the supply chain. Track and report on procurement costs and performance metrics. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as disruptions, delays, and quality issues. Work closely with internal teams (e.g., engineering, manufacturing, and sales) to align procurement activities with business needs. Foster strong relationships with suppliers to encourage collaboration and innovation. Required Qualifications Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or sourcing, ideally in the aerospace or high-tech manufacturing sectors. Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract negotiation, and supplier management. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Experience working with international suppliers and global supply chains. Familiarity with the procurement of complex and custom components or hardware. Experience working with contract manufacturers and quality control systems. Familiarity with international procurement logistics and compliance. Understanding of contractual structure, terms, and best practices. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for procurement and inventory management. Preferred Qualifications Experience procuring from small satellite subsystem providers. Knowledge of aerospace-grade materials, electronic components, and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with ITAR, EAR, and other regulatory compliance requirements related to aerospace procurement.
