Snowflake Data Engineer/Analyst - ETL/Azure Data Factory

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing modern data warehouse solutions on the Snowflake platform while ensuring the data pipelines are scalable, efficient, and maintainable. Key Responsibilities : - Design and implement solutions for data storage, integration, and analytics using Snowflake and Azure Data Factory (ADF). - Strong knowledge of star and snowflake schema dimensional modeling and the ability to design effective and efficient data models for analytics. - Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities such as SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Tasks, Streams, Time Travel, Cloning, Optimizer, Data Sharing, Stored Procedures, and UDFs. - Design, implement, and manage complex data integration and transformation workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF). - Familiarity with Databricks Data and Databricks Delta Lake Architecture, ensuring smooth integration between Snowflake and other Azure-based tools. - Implement and maintain Snowflake security best practices, ensuring safe and controlled access to sensitive data. - Leverage Snowflake's native utilities for data automation, optimization, and efficient query execution. - A solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews. - Participate in support activities, troubleshoot and resolve issues in data pipelines, and handle tickets in tools like Jira, ServiceNow, and Azure DevOps. - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts, to meet project goals and deliver high-quality data solutions. - Maintain clear technical documentation and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and timely resolution of data-related challenges. Required Skills & Experience : - 4 years of experience in Snowflake development and data warehousing. - Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), including the ability to design, implement, and manage data workflows and transformations. - Extensive experience with Snowflake SQL, Stored Procedures, and User Defined Functions (UDFs) for data manipulation and management. - Proficiency with Snowflake utilities such as SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Tasks, Streams, Time Travel, Cloning, and Data Sharing. - Understanding of Dimensional Modeling (Star and Snowflake schema) and experience in designing data models suitable for analytics. - Knowledge of Databricks Delta Lake Architecture and integration with Snowflake. - Experience working in an Onsite/Offshore model. - Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements. - Hands-on experience with support tools like Jira, ServiceNow, and Azure DevOps. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on identifying and resolving issues in data pipelines. - Ability to work both independently and in teams, with strong collaborative skills.
