Category Operations manager

Key Responsibilities: 1. Category Operations Ownership: Lead the order-to-cash cycle, including contract management, product setup, promotion execution, payments, and funding processes. 2. Drive In-Stock Excellence: Execute demand forecasts and plans to ensure products are available at the right time, quantity, and location. 3. Purchase Order Management: Release and manage purchase orders to optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce overstock situations. 4. Inbound Coordination: Work closely with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products to the warehouse. 5. Inventory Optimization: Monitor inventory data, analyze sales and purchasing trends, and implement strategies to improve stock turnover and reduce excess inventory. 6. Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP): Collaborate with the Category Leader and other stakeholders to align inventory levels with sales forecasts and business goals. 7. Warehouse & Logistics Collaboration: Partner with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth inventory flow and resolve operational bottlenecks. 8. System Utilization: Learn and leverage inventory management systems to enhance inventory control and operational efficiency. 9. Problem-Solving & Process Improvement: Identify and resolve inventory-related issues quickly, while streamlining operations to reduce costs and improve efficiency in a resource-constrained environment. 10. Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor operations associates, providing training and support to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. What We’re Looking For: 1. 3-5 years of experience in operations, inventory management, or supply chain, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment. 2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team of operations associates. 3. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make actionable decisions. 4. Hands-on, resourceful, and comfortable working in a dynamic, ever-changing startup environment. 5. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with the Category Leader and cross-functional teams. 6. Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
