As an Application Developer you are working at the heart of the design, development, deploy and continuous improvement of our Marketing Operations Suite (MOS): https://www.theapsgroup.com/marketing-technology/ . You are a key player in the agile software development team that is building one of the core systems and integrations that manage all work throughout our studio's. At APS Group IT you will be part of a team with other highly skilled members and collaborate with our colleagues in other regions. You participate in an innovative working environment on complex projects involving marketing technology for leading international corporate customers such as Albert Heijn, Philips, BBC, and the UK Government. What you will do Shape the next generation of our Marketing Operations Suite by joining the early stages of development, Streamline both internal business- and external client processes by leveraging the latest technologies and developing the right solutions, Integrate and coordinate a multitude of third-party services seamlessly to provide a unified and real-time experience to our end-users, Continuously reflect upon decisions taken in the past, identifying sub-optimal design choices and improving current implementations. What you bring Proven experience in Kotlin (or Java), preferably involving the development of microservices and usage of event-driven architecture, Bachelor or University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (software engineering, artificial intelligence, etc.), Able to communicate in business-level English, both written and spoken, Passion for software engineering, striving to deliver code that is clean and follows best practices, Being able to work independently, confidently and feeling at ease in a dynamic organization Eagerness to experiment with new ideas and thinking outside the box to solve problems in clever, though sensible, ways, Good sense of humour, innovative thinking and a wide interest in new technologies, Knowledge in (some of) the following backend technologies: Ktor / Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, GraphQL, Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, AWS, Knowledge in (some of) the following frontend technologies: TypeScript, Nx, Next.js, React, MUI, CloudFlare Pages.
