Job Description

Role: Office Coordinator - Contract - Belfast Job Overview VANRATH is pleased to assist one of Northern Ireland's prominent public sector organisations in their search for an Office Coordinator to cover a six-month period. The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively managing the administrative team, ensuring the leadership team receives high-quality and efficient support. Salary: £28,000 Location: Belfast Contract: 6-months Key Responsibilities: Oversee the administrative functions for the Chairman and Chief Executive, ensuring efficient operations and continuous improvements. Handle incoming correspondence, respond to queries, and ensure timely follow-ups. Maintain filing systems, manage office supplies, and coordinate travel arrangements and requisitions. Plan and assist in corporate events, collaborating with external organisations as required. Supervise administrative staff, ensuring smooth office operations and overseeing recruitment processes. Foster effective communication within the team and contribute to the development of office procedures. Manage staff, delegate tasks, and provide training as necessary. Promote equality, adhere to organisational policies, and maintain health and safety standards. Take responsibility for personal development and maintain professionalism in all interactions. Essential Criteria: A degree and at least 1 year's experience in staff supervision (Band 4 or equivalent) OR 5 years' administrative experience, including 2 years supervising staff (Band 4 or equivalent) Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and databases) Full UK driving licence and access to a car (unless exempt due to disability) Excellent written and verbal communication skills RSA Typing / ECDL or equivalent qualification Business Administration or Management qualification Confident telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills Experience in minute-taking at committee level Ability to work independently and use initiative For further information on this job, or any other Business Support role in Northern Ireland, apply via the link or contact Ryan Sykes for a confidential chat today.
