Summary/ObjectiveA/P and Treasury Manager will provide ownership of the accounts payable and treasury processes for multiplebusiness units within the Boundless organization. This position administers detailed coding and payment ofinvoices/related material to support operations, overseeing treasury processes and assisting with the monthlyfinancial close process. Additionally, the position supervises assigned staff.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essentialfunctions.Review and oversee coding and processing invoices, receipts, and vouchers. Prioritize invoices accordingto payment terms and cash discounts.Monitors invoices entered into the accounting system for mathematical accuracy, appropriate signatures, and data entry accuracy.Oversee reconciling vendor statements, research/correct discrepancies, and respond to all vendor inquiries.Manage all treasury functions, including:Bank account setup, changes, and closure.Oversee/Approve ACH and WiresMastercard setup and closureManage the expense reporting system, including:Maintenance - setting up new users and updating approvers.Review and process reimbursements.Oversee A/P files and documentation scanned and saved thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and GAAP.Manage responses to phone and email inquiries for the accounting department, including AP and FinanceSupport email in boxes.Manage the process of sorting, logging, scanning, and distributing mail, copying, and filing accounting documents.Assist in the reconciliation of corporate credit card accounts.Manage the preparation of credit applications, company 1099’s, and tax exemption letters as requested.Manage day-to-day accounts payable functions:Review and research outstanding checks and, as needed, assist with unclaimed funds.Set up new and maintain current vendors in the accounting system.Oversee and coordinate weekly accounts payable check run.Oversee monthly accounts payable and Certify training.Creates and maintains spreadsheets and reports as assigned.Oversee remote scan deposits for banking.Assist with the preparation of AP accruals for month-end close for multiple businesses.Manage preparation of 1099s for annual processing.Evaluate and recommend improvements to processes.Respond to departmental management as requested and required with accurate and timely work to facilitate his/her financial needs.Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others courteously and professionally.Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.Participate in professional development activities.Maintain strictest confidentiality.Supervise and train staff.Facilitate and implement projects as assigned.Provide internal and external audit assistance as required.Provide quality customer service to internal and external customers.CompetenciesKnowledge of basic accounting and financial statementsStrategic ThinkingEthical ConductTechnical CapacityPerformance ManagementDetail OrientedSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position supervises assigned staff in accounts payable and treasury.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office or remote environment. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.TravelTravel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected on occasion.Required Education and Experience5 years of experience in managing accounts payable and treasury processes, preferably in thenonprofit sector.Previous supervisory experience.Strong general ledger, GAAP, cost accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and banking knowledge.Excellent computer skills – experience with Sage Intacct and/or Certify software a plus, spreadsheets and word processing tools – and ability to learn new programs expeditiously.Preferred Education and ExperienceAssociate degree in accounting/financeAdditional Eligibility QualificationsNone is required for this position.Other DutiesPlease note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
