Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Emergency Medicine in North Dakota

Job Title: Physician Job Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Duration: 13 months Shift: Varied days; 7a-7p and nights 7p-7a Guaranteed Hours: To be discussed during the hiring process Experience: A minimum of 250 case logs in the last year License: Active North Dakota license or IMLC preferred Certifications: PALS, ATLS, ACLS, ABEM (required) Must-Have: - Must be comfortable with all ages and procedures, including intubations, chest tubes, central lines, critical care, procedural sedation, airway management, obstetrics/gynecology and deliveries, adult and pediatric resuscitation. - The state of ND requires ATLS for any EM provider practicing in the state. Job Description: - Provide ongoing emergency medicine coverage with no gaps in service. - Work in a critical access hospital environment with support staff similar to a larger hospital. - Work in coordination with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) during peak hours from 10a-10p. - Manage an average of 1.5 patients per hour. - Utilize the Meditech Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. - Undergo orientation, with additional hours paid after 8 hours of training. - Prioritize comfort and ability to handle a wide range of medical procedures across all age groups. - Credentialing timeline typically takes up to 4 weeks, with temporary privileges available for faster onboarding. - Travel arrangements include flight, hotel, and rental car, with preferred hotel options available.
